Board of Selectmen
Regular Meeting Minutes
DATE: May 2, 2005
MEMBERS PRESENT: Tal Kersh, Dave Jenkins
OTHERS PRESENT: Mark Decoteau, Town Manager; Amanda Jenkins
The meeting was called to order at 4:30pm.
The first item of business was a review of the bid on the Recreation Department’s activity mini-bus. The bid was from School Lines, Inc. of Durham, NH. The bid is for $38,550.00. After discussion the Selectmen instructed the Town Manager to negotiate the best price or most equipment possible on the bus and enter the contract as he deems appropriate.
The Board next reviewed the Water Well Agreement with the US Forest Service. The Board agreed that the agreement is the best way to proceed for the test wells in the White Mountain National Forest.
The Selectmen next discussed the Water Tank project on Snow’s Mountain. The Board agreed that the use of a specially built road up the ski slope from Greeley Hill Road to the work site is the best option in the absence of a construction easement. The Board also requested that the Town Manager and the Water Department Superintendent develop options for long term maintenance and emergency access for the site. The Board would like to discuss the options in June and not make any decisions on easement actions until options are discussed thoroughly.
The last item of business was a discussion on possibilities for filling the Board vacancy. The Board will consider alternatives and discuss further at a Special Meeting on Thursday, May 5, 2005.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:35pm.
Respectfully Submitted,Decoteau
Town Manager
