The Waterville Valley Rec. Dept. offers three drop in summer camp programs for children ages 4 thru 12. Camps focus on outdoor exploration, cooking, games, crafts, and making new friends. There is no need to register in advance, although advanced registration is accepted. Children are accepted on a "first come, first served" basis, therefore, when depending upon the program for child care, please register in advance.
Additionally, we have teamed up with several organizations, including WV's very own Rey Center, Shakespeare in the Valley & Challenger British Soccer to offer a series of specialty camps. Please find more info by selecting the appropriate buttons to the left.

WINGS is for children ages 4 to 6 and officially stands for “Waterville Instruction in Nature and Games”. A typical day in this camp program includes lots of organized games, crafts, cooking, and outdoor exploration. This is a hands on program that is ideal for kids with lots of energy. Half day options are available for this camp program.

SOAR is “Summer Outdoor Adventures in Recreation” and is designed for kids ages 7 to 9. A typical day in the SOAR program includes a variety outdoor excursions from swimming & hiking, to canoeing & playing organized games on Packard’s Field. This program spends a lot of time outside and is ideal for kids that enjoy exploring, playing and having FUN. Half day options are available for this camp program.

PEAK is the perfect day camp program for pre-teens as it means “Positive Environmental Activities for Kids”. The PEAK program is for ages 10 to 12. PEAK adventurers explore a variety of natural areas in the Southern White Mountains, from hiking to remote swimming holes to kayaking on Corcoran’s Pond. A variety of unique cooking and crafts are also implemented into this day camp program.

Each Wednesday all camp groups attend a field trip. Field trip fees range from $5 to $15 per child, dependent upon destination. Destination changes weekly. Children are required to purchase ($7.00) a "Camp T-shirt" and must wear the t-shirt at all times when on the field trip.

Transportation: The Rec. Dept. offers a morning pick up service in Campton Monday through Friday. Afternoon Drop-off service will be offered on Wednesday afternoons. $10/day includes transportation & early care services. Payment due upon pick-up. Pre-registration required.

Before and After Camp Care: available from 8 –9 AM, and 4 – 5 PM @ $5 per session. Pre-registration is required.
