RE: Town Hours of Operation Changes Due to COVID-19 Virus

Waterville Valley Town Office  **UPDATE AS OF 5/6/2020** Effective immediately, the Town Office is closed to all foot traffic until further notice.

**UPDATE TO TOWN OFFICE HOURS (Beginning Wednesday, 5/6/2020)

  •  MONDAY thru FRIDAY: Open 8am & Close 4pm.
  • WEEKENDS: CLOSED

You may reach the office by email at townofwv@watervillevalley.org   If you need to speak to someone, you can call the office at (603) 236-4730.  We are in the office Monday through Friday between 8AM and 4PM to receive phone call and answer your questions, however the office remains closed to all walk-in business. We have placed a dropbox located outside the office during the times when the office is staffed. If the ofice is closed, the drop box will not be in place.The office is closed on weekends/holidays. Thank you for your patience as we continue to conduct Town business remotely. We are encouraging all customers to conduct all business online via the Town Website for Motor Vehicle renewals, Dog licence renewals, property taxes and water/sewer payments.     https://www.watervillevalley.org/home/pages/e-services

Waterville Valley Post Office is open for regular business with ADJUSTED hours** until further notice.

**UPDATE TO POST OFFICE HOURS (Beginning Monday 3/30/2020)

  •  MONDAY – FRIDAY: Open 8am & Close 12Noon.
  • SATURDAY: Open 8am & Close 11am.
  • SUNDAY: CLOSED ALL DAY

In an effort to provide more social distancing and protect those at higher risk of COVID 19 we are dedicating the following days and times at the POST OFFICE to serve individuals 60+ years old or with medical conditions which put them at greater risk of infection. We are asking our community to help us ensure the integrity of this measure by observing these hours: 8AM to 10AM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, and 8AM to 9AM on Wednesday and Saturday.

Please do not attempt to have mail delivered to the Waterville Valley Post Office if you do not have a valid Post Office Box. Effective immediately, the Waterville Valley Post Office will return all packages and other mail not addressed to a valid PO Box at close of business the same day they are delivered to the Post Office.  We will no longer hold packages and other improperly addressed mail overnight.  

We cannot contact individuals who do not have a valid PO Box regarding improperly addressed mail and we cannot deliver packages to any physical addresses in Town.  If you cannot get through to the Post Office by phone, please direct questions or issues to the Town Office at (603) 236-4730, Monday and Wednesday, 8am to 4pm, or via email to townofwv@watervillevalley.org

Waterville Valley Public Safety Dept building will be closed to the public. If you have an emergency, please call 911 directly! For non-emergencies, please call dispatch at 603-236-4732. Administrative staff will be available Monday though Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Waterville Valley Public Works buildings are closed to the public. Collection of trash will continue as normal. The Transfer Station dumpsters remain open to the public. The gated area for construction debris, appliances and like items will be open for ADJUSTED hours of operation of Monday-Wednesday-Friday 10:00am–3pm, and Tuesday,Thursday & weekends CLOSED. Please call the Town Office at 236-4730 during weekdays for assistance outside of these times. The assistance will be dependent upon on employee availabilty on each day.

Waterville Valley Recreation Dept buildings will be closed to the public until further notice. All programming is temporarily suspended until further notice.

Waterville Valley Osceola Library will be closed until further notice. E-Books are able to be downloaded from the State Library and links are posted upon the website. https://nh.overdrive.com/

People with general questions on COVID-19 can call this phone number:  2-1-1. Callers will reach a phone menu, and then select the ‘COVID’ option to reach a live operator.  Callers should expect to wait patiently for many minutes to reach an operator. People need to immediately report any suspect cases of COVID-19 (via exposure or travel) to the DPHS at these phone numbers:

  • During the day, call 603-271-4496 (office hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) or 603-271-5300 (only after hours). Caller should expect to leave a message with an operator, or leave a voice mail, and wait patiently for a return call within a few hours.

People who are sick (i.e. symptomatic with fever, cough or shortness of breath) are directed  to call their healthcare provider: If they don’t have a provider, they can call an urgent care clinic and ask for an evaluation.

Please realize this is an active State of Emergency and that Town personnel are closely monitoring updates from State and Federal agencies. All residents, guests and property owners are urged to follow CDC guidelines for preventing any spread of the virus both in-home and in our community.
