WATERVILLE VALLEY PUBLIC SAFETY Launches Mobile App for Customized Crime-Fighting and Community Messaging
Innovative new Waterville PD tip411 Mobile app helps better connect police with the public.

[Waterville Valley, NH] – [July 6, 2020] – The Waterville Valley Public Safety is increasing its crime-fighting arsenal with a new app, developed by tip411, to help residents connect with the department to find information, view alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone. All town residents, property owners, business owners, employees, and visitors are encouraged to download the new app. This WV Public Safety app will replace NIXLE as our community messaging platform.

Developed by tip411, the Waterville Valley PD puts a powerful new crime-fighting tool into the hands of community members of all ages.  The Waterville Valley PD app is available for download for free via the Google Play Store, iTunes App Store, or by signing up directly here!

“Our mission is to reduce crime and enhance community notifications through outstanding police services in partnership with the community,” said Chief David Noyes of the Waterville Valley Police Department. “tip411 will be a great help to us and we believe the addition of this new app will allow us to have an even deeper crime-fighting and community notification partnership with our residents.”

Unlike our old system where we could only share limited community information, the new Waterville Valley PD app enables the public to share an anonymous tip with police and lets officers respond back to create an anonymous two-way conversation.

“The Waterville Valley PD app will greatly improve the public’s access to agency alerts, social media channels, important information, and more to help fight crime,” said tip411 President Terry Halsch.  “We’ve listened to feedback from partners like Waterville Valley Public Safety and have built a more advanced and innovative product to help departments better engage their communities.”

The Waterville Valley PD app and tip411 anonymous text a tip system are 100% anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before police see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.

Residents in Waterville Valley without a smartphone will still be able to send an anonymous text tip via their cell phone to police by texting keyword “WVPD” and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411).  Anonymous web tips can also be submitted through the web here.
